Commissioned Instruments Base prices are provided for each job, however, commissioned instruments are subject to added costs following special requests for such things as extra carving, purfling, roses, etc.  Each instrument is unique and being hand crafted they have individualistic flare and characteristics of the craftsman.  I' ve made such copies as the Edward Lewis bass viol that is in Brussels, the Henry Smith bass viol held in a private collection in England as well as a cello made by Montagnana the 'Sleeping Beauty' . These are a few of the more well known instruments that I've made. Requests by customers are treated with respect and therefore the customer is involved directly in the design process.  Assessment of the customers needs will be considered.
